Sounded like a blank. Any flash was probably between frames. Also, the "perp" sways back and forth a couple times after the *pop* before he falls down and there was no pink mist.

Pistol shots to the noggin don't normally result in "pink mist". Very rarely will you get an exit with a typical semi auto round. Full house 10mm, magnum revolver rounds etc... will frequently exit, bullet dependent.
