Rifle Scopes Falcon Parlx Knob and internal cylindeer fell off

I got a Falcon 5-25 that has not seen much use and I took it out of the safe today to go for some puppies and the parralax adjustmet knob and internal cylinder or what have you came apart. Sorry for probably the incorrect terminology. It doesnt look like its keyed in any way, almost like it is just epoxied on there?. Have you guys found this to be a problem? If there is a fix for it please tell me. Thanks

Why, either it did or didn't happen. If its the former, why delete and if its the latter why post?
