Sidearms & Scatterguns Fallkniven knives

I am interested in buying a Fallkniven S1 knife, but I have read where some Fallkniven's were now being made in Japan. Nothing is mentioned on their website. Does anyone know or can direct me somewhere to more information on mfg of Fallkniven knives? Thanks krw

I don't necessarily trust Wikipedia, but their article on Fällkniven indicates that they have always outsourced manufacturing. Their knives get consistently good reviews, and I would have no qualms about Japanese quality.

The high end Northern Lights hunting knives by Fallkniven are made by Hattori: http://www.japaneseknifedirect.com/Hattori.html

You can get better Hattori-branded knives for cheaper. Japan limits who can buy some of their super steels, including Cowry-X, and even VG-10, I believe.
