Faster burning powder = less recoil & less gas?

I was doing a ladder test with 2000mr in my DPMS 260 rem, and the first thing I noticed was that there was much less recoil than H414, despite having somewhat similar velocities and muzzle energy. The faster burning 2000mr also seemed to have less gas, and be a little easier on the bolt carrier.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

I have not used either powder. Gas guns have a limited range of suitable powders. Slow is bad. 4064.RL15,4895 are in the range you should use.

How about a 6.5 creedmoor AR .Factory loads are H4350 which is a slower powder than normaly used in most AR rifles .
