I will be the corny old guy because someone needs to be. But I also love a good laugh.

One of my favorite all time movies is also my favorite Christmas movie. And I did not like Ted Turner's colorization.

the original black and white release of "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Two important lessons of that movie. One is obvious. What a difference one person makes in the world. George Bailey gets the unexpected view of what the world in his area would be like without him.

The second lesson, not lost on me, is the strength and the love his wife has for him. That is what marriage is all about. For her to throw her pride and image to the wind and go out in a blizzard and ask for help for her husband. She is the rock star, here. That is the part that always puts a lump in my throat. She did not have to do any of that but she did.

But I also like "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

"Lethal Weapon" has infected and taken over the song "Jingle Bell Rock" in my mind. I am stuck with the range target with a smiley face but at least it blots out the vision of Mel Gibson's buttocks.

Of course, "Die Hard." "Come to LA, she said. We'll have a few laughs."

My wife watches all the Hallmark Christmas movies during the season.

Your taste in movies mirrors my father's as well so I grew up watching these movies and they are my favorite as well. I don't mind the remake of its a wonderful life but I don't find it to be as good as the original which I surprisingly loved when I was younger.

The only movie I really don't want to see again is Christmas Story because of that damn channel that would play it 24 hours straight and I swear my dad couldn't get enough of it.

I like the Santa Clause movies as well with Tim Allen.

One of my all time favorite Christmas movies is "We're No Angles". Bogart, Ustinov and Ray are instead the Three Wise Men...

    Miracle on 34th Street
    Its a Wonderful Life
1934 version of A Christmas Carol
    Die Hard

I can't watch Christmas Story due to bad memories as a kid. My father was a womanizer and it reminds me of him. Can't watch I love Lucy for the same reason.

I was going to bring that up and forgot. Billy Bob Thorton should be hailed as a national treasure. And also an apology, of sorts. He is from Arkansas, the same state that gave us Bill Clinton. 1 out of 2 ain't bad, if that is all you can get.

According to IMDB, he was legitimately drunk during some of the filming.

That movie is a fucking masterpiece. Darren McGavin was great. I loved him in Kolchak.

It's a great movie but I'm burned out on it. Kids didn't seem interested in it either but they loved home alone.

We just watched "Violent Night" last night, and were quite surprised to see yet another movie made right here in this city. We used to call it "Winterpeg Manisnowba" because of the gulag conditions, but now because of the evidence and festering politics, methinks it will now be known as:

    Winniewood Manifornia

Just adds to the magic. We all have relatives who get a bit tipsy during the season.

    Schindler’s List
A friend of mine whom I will call Tom because that's his name, saw the movie "Schindler's List" once. He said that was enough for a lifetime. Good movie but it left him so depressed. No, he is not jewish, not even jewish-adjacent. Just horrified at the monsters that some humans can be.

I saw Christmas Story once. It was boring and I now avoid it. That little kid reminds too much of Glenn Beck. Christmas Vacation, Wonderful Life, and 34th Street for me.

Patton. Hey; Christmas happened at some point in the film...
I miss old George C. Scott and his interpretation of the soldier's duty.

That is not your mission to die for your country and your ideals but to make the enemy die for his country and his ideals. Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.

Being former military and understanding leaving from home and going to war and seeing our son off to do the same, I really like “A Christmas Visitor.” (With William Devine.)

For fun and fantasy “A Christmas Gift” staring John Denver.

Any one on the Hallmark Channel my wife turns off! She plays them fucking things all the time. If it was porn, she would be committed!

Die Hard, because it's, well, Die Hard.

My family always watched White Christmas every Thanksgiving. After I became an adult and moved out on my own, I watched it less and less. It's been quite a few years since I've watched it with my mom. I'll have to correct that.

Yo... I think I just found my new favorite Christmas movie tonight... (Well there are Christmas trees in it)...

I am not gonna even give a commentary on it. Just watch it. Make sure you are NOT eating or drinking or handling power tools while watching.

Yo I am fuckin' DONE man. Holy shit...

YO HOW DIS MUTHAFUCKA MADE IT THROUGH COAST GUARD TRAINING???? I hope they interviewed his squadmates/shipmates, superior officers etc. BET they got some stories to tell about this weird ass mofo...
