I'm really enjoying The Walking Dead. Though about the topic, are we going for Disease outbreak -> zombies(walking dead)... or viruses that make people crazy(28 days later)? In my opinion the 'crazy' zombies aren't really zombies.. take I am Legend for instance, they are sort of rabid.
But all in all, The Walking Dead is turning out to be a fantastic show. To Bornhunter04 - Yea.. the lack of different types of firearms, including the lack of military firearms is a bit odd.. And how come no one can find a silencer..
28 Weeks is my all time favorite, those bastards were vicious! I thought for sure there would have been a follow on the way it ended. The Crazies was damn good to...another that looked li,e it was setup for a sequel.

World War Z was an entertaining read, but it seem like it might be hard to do it justice as a movie, cause it bounced around so much. </div></div>
It's in production for a 2013 release. Brad Pitt, Mirielle Enos and David Morse. I kid you not. This one may legitimize zombieism for the female population.
how about "the invisible invaders" from the late 50's/early 60's. invaders from outer space use dead bodies to get around. if you listen they only use bodies with really bad asthma.

+1!!
Using a lawnmower handheld on zombies is one of the best zombie-killin' scenes ever!!
Dawn of the Dead (the newer one, in the shopping mall).
28 days, 28 weeks and, of course, even though I can't stand that dickweed Woody Harrelson's politics, Zombieland, a tender, awkward, adolescent love story, with Zombies. What's not to like?
Another one you may not have seen but its B movie good.
DOGHOUSE -
A group of men travels to a remote village in England for a 'boys' weekend'. Upon their arrival, they found out that all the women in the town had been transformed into some kind of man-eating cannibals.
Dead Alive is a classic for sure. Walking Dead I think is one of the best shows on T.V. One of my favorites though is Zombi by Lucio Fulci. Zombieland is just 100% pure entertainment though!
Don't need a favorite zombie movie. I live at ground zero for zombie outbreaks in 2012. In fact, today I was doing work at the "causeway cannibal's" last place of employment.
Zombieland, dawn otd, shaun otd, 28 days, 28 weeks, and I am legend are all great. im excited about zombieland 2 thats in the works. will be one of the few i will go see as soon as its out.
Dawn of the Dead (2004 Remake) is my favorite Zombie movie ever. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. Basically anything George Romero made is good also . Survival on the Dead I also like a lot.
Another excellent horror film is Descent. While it doesn't have Zombies, it does have blind cave creatures with an appetite for humans.
Descent sounds a bit like this movie:Pandorum - IMDB If you haven't seen it, I recommend it--and its very hard for me to recommend a sci-fi movie to anyone.
I am a big zombie fan but my favorite hasn't been made yet, there are a few things i would like the director/writor to include but it hasn't happened yet.
till then zombieland is very close.
