FBI demands USA Today hand over names of EVERYONE who read story about two FBI agents

people are innocent until proven guilty and as much as it sucks, even pedos have rights. We can't pick and choose when to apply rights.

That said, totally ok with people using vigilante justice

The right of privacy in this case belongs to USA Today, not the people who visit their website. USA Today is not protecting their business. They are protecting pedos. If it were us who the FBI was investigating USA Today would gladly turn over their records. They assert their first and fourth amendment rights only when it suits their political endgame. You can’t see through this hypocrisy?

I do but my point still stands even though I don't like it. I also don't agree they'd be more than likely to turn us over as 2A supporters.

Pedos make me sick, not sure what is worse in the world and it's a major problem that needs to be addressed in this country.

Maybe I'm missing something. How is this different from asking for say, the lobby security video after a holdup across the street? I don't see a 1st Amendment issue here. The FBI is not asking to stop the article, there is no restraint on freedom of the press. The cyber guys at the FBI have apparently found some link between the article and criminal investigation. It seems to have occurred in a particular 35 minute window, so a fairly select group of 'suspects'.

Now, there may be a 4th Amendment problem. I'm not sure that accessing a public website is protected any more than standing on a public street corner, where the aforementioned lobby video camera recorded you. If this was only on the internal USA Today network at the time and they wanted the employees that accessed it I think they would have a problem for sure, under both the 1st and 4th. This is more like reading a billboard, I don't see any expectation of privacy. USA Today probably passes on your history to all sorts of people already for advertising dollars.

There is plenty to complain about the way the FBI works, this does not seem to be in any way significant. Exactly how are anyone's rights being violated?

Me and my kind? Fuck right off dude, you don’t know me one fucking bit. You sound paranoid as fuck.

If they have to sift through a list of people to catch a bunch of pedo’s then so fucking be it. If some of those pedo’s are conservatives well prosecute them too, shouldn’t be looking at naked kids

As long as they aren’t harassing people that have nothing to do with the kiddy porn, then there’s no harm.

So why are you ok with protecting pedo’s? That’s what I’m curious about.
Conservative and pedo? Uh no.... May want to check your political alignment there just, sayin.

I fail to see the point.

why don't the feds just go through the porn sites records?

It's not a 1st amendment violation at all because the Gov isn't preventing anyone from reading or publishing anything. Period. Clearly there FBI and NSA have information they are trying to corroborate by getting the IP address info during the specific 35 minute time frame. Which is pretty incredible (concerning?) they have that level of detailed info. That's actually pretty specific in context of when you look at the text of the 4th Amendment is states:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

They described pretty specifically what is to be searched and what things are to be seized.

Should be a no-brainer. If they wanna defy the subpoena... there's still a warrant option.

There's no "standard" kiddie porn sites. It's not like there's a website called chil porn dot com amd you use a credit card to purchase membership. It's all file-sharing places, and other innocuous places similar to 4Chan/8Chan and similar.

I seriously doubt there is any sharing on a regular site like 4chan. Although I haven't looked. I'd assume they are all in dark web sites protected by encryption and tor routing.

What are they after? IP addresses that are untraceable? Are they looking for the IP addresses for people that left comments?

Often times links include some unique attributes at the end that can be traced. If they get logs, they'll probably know the real ip of everyone who clicked from the kiddy porn site. May be enough to then raid each house searching for illicit material.

It’s entirely possible there’s a bigger child porn ring and they could have evidence that the story was posted somewhere that pedo’s frequent and a bunch of them may have clicked on it and may be able to track them. They’re only asking for a 35 minute window, not literally everyone who read it period.

It’s still basically entrapment IMO and certainly not a legitimate investigation if literally everyone that clicked on it in that time frame could be suspected of something.
Don't look too hard Feds, I'm sure the Bidens and other deep state criminals are in that ring.

Unless you are very careful, when you go browse some heavily scripted web site, they actually collect a lot of information that can be used to track your computer on other sites as well and can get a pretty good idea of your location. Most sites do this to sell this information back to Google in exchange for more ads to shove in your face.

My guess is that very few of them are registered/based in places that think highly of FBI subpoenas.

This is a legit 1st amendment concern.

First and foremost if any man or woman in this country believes that the FBI cares about catching people doing child porn you are crazy. The FBI would already have arrested, Bill Clinton, Hunter Biden, and everyone else on Jeffery Epstiens list of scumbags.

The FBI because of their actions over the last 5 years has lost all credibility as a law enforcement agency. They have falsified documents in order to get a Fisa warrant against a man running for President that was started by a fake dossier that Hillary Clinton paid for. Lied to a Fisa court judge. They have been used as a tool by the left to go after other political figures. The corruption at the FBI has tainted every agent. James Comey and all the top brass at the FBI has made all the good men and women that work there look like corrupt cops. I used to believe that the FBI was America's most trusted law enforcement agency, keeping us safe from domestic criminals and foreign criminals alike, but no more. I wouldn't trust the FBI to put gas in my car now.

In order for the FBI to save itself it would need to bring to justice all the criminals that it seems now just to protect, it's most of the top people in the Democratic party. Joe Biden, his brothers and son, Hillary Clinton, the list goes on of powerful people that they have protected and even ignored evidence. The FBI probably needs to fire the top twenty people in charge and every agent given a polygraph and asked: have you ever lied or falsified evidence, have you ever protected a supervisor when you knew they were braking the law, has your political views ever cause you to look the other way or commit a crime while being in the FBI. Lots of people need to be weeded out in order to turn the FBI back into a trusted law enforcement agency.

I'm sure there are agents that come on this forum. If your a good FBI agent then please accept my appologies, it's the people at the top that have done this to you.

Rant over!

If the fbi is truly looking for a pedo after a raid on the wrong house it’s only to collect their vig, cause they could care less about protecting anyone- way way way to many numerous examples to site and those are only the ones we know about.

We are going after each other with more vigor and veracity then we ever use against the enemies of liberty, it's no wonder we have the government do.

Don't look too hard Feds, I'm sure the Bidens and other deep state criminals are in that ring.
Or they are looking to eliminate the competition, just like the war on drugs.

Flash back to when this raid / shooting took place. The initial reports were of the male Agent being one of the lead investigators into the Epstein pedo ring.

I'm sure they wanted that part out of the news fast....

Epstein gets dead, agent investigating Epstein gets dead, guys reading about the guy investigating Epstein getting dead just happen to die in some "shootout" with swat....

Kennedy.. Oswald... Ruby...

Much like so many folks who were assigned to protect the Clintons wound up dead later on for one reason on another...

my guess is the fbi saw some real time discussion about the article online, and it sounded like they were involved in the murders.
something like "hey, i am reading about our crimes right now on usa today's website, here is the link"...

What if.
This guy they raided.
Who has no record whatsoever.
No history of violence.
No history of sexual offenses.

What if, he wasn't a pedo at all?

You know what they are gonna find on your phone when you get sideways of current politics?
Kiddy porn. On your phone.

Why aren't they busting down Hunters door?
Why aren't they interested in his laptop?
Huh, there wuz this other guy, a long time ago. Shit, what was his name ?

Wait, wait, it's coming to me.......yeah, yeah, this is him;

anthony weiner.gif

Probably hard to get those lists.
They're stuck under Hunters laptop and a metric shit ton of Russian collusion docs.
Almost forgot, a decent pile of bullshit fisa requests.

R

Wasn't there a shock jock radio host before Howard Stern that got under Bill Clinton's skin during a roast for Clinton that later ended up getting hosed down with lead while getting into his car?

Let‘s change the scenario just a bit. Imagine we were talking about the FBI subpoenaing lawful gun sales records because some kid was shot in a drive by. This is the EXACT SAME “its for the kids” argument. You’re not a gang banger, right? You purchased your guns legally, right? You didnt kill any kids, right? You don’t have anything to worry about, right?

C’mon man. You’re either for stringent gun control or against law enforcement. 😒

If you purchased legally new through a store they allready have your info don't they.

If you purchased legally new through a store they allready have your info don't they.

Technically they are not supposed to, but it has been widely speculated that they are keeping the records of the background checks even if they were not allowed to. It has also been reported that they may be photographing stuff during "audits" and hanging onto their records.
It is also why some speculate they changed the form to have your information and the weapons description / serial numbers all on the same front page, for easier photographing during "audits".

Then the FBI can subpoena the kiddie porn sites, not USA Today.

What?!?! LOL

Don't you think they'd just go ahead and shut that kiddie porn site down if they could identify where it was being run from? All of those things are set up so as to not contain any logs/records anyway.

A lot of you are really over-estimating what info is produced in response to a GJS. And, the title of this whole thread is stupid to begin with. The subpoena isn't asking for names, and USA Today wouldn't be able to provide them anyway.

I don't hate to break it to you, but you're the one being stupid, they are asking for all the IP addresses, SPECIFICALLY to use them to go get names.
The Entire plan is get IP address, go match up to names, proceed. They probably also wanted MAC addresses and machine identification information as well.

Wonder why Google's "Street View" spy cars were collecting MAC addresses and IP broadcast information from homes and businesses as they drove around?

Without careful work, your IP address / MAC and machine fingerprint can easily identify you to many corporate entities, much like your cell phone carrier service serial number. Corporate types use that information to be able to "sell" you as the product for a higher price.

Not being stupid, just concise and correct. Of course, identification of someone is the ultimate goal. Just pointing out that USA Today cannot provide names; they don't have them. I know how it all works, much better than anyone here.

"...James Comey and all the top brass at the FBI has made all the good men and women that work there look like corrupt cops."

And yet those same 'good men and women' would come to your home with less hard evidence then you had on them showing they are part of a corrupt organization and question you about your social media comments.

There's no danger in anything I've said. Especially here.

i hate to say it, but i am going to.

the second i see “FBI”, i stop believing anything they are saying about anyone. with all the crooked, lying bullshit they pulled in the last few years, they’ve got no one to blame but themselves.

what’s to stop them from accusing anyone of whatever? oh, it’s all fun and games while it’s other people being accused.

fact is, in my life, i’ve seen time after time, where they break the law, lie, cheat, and evade justice themselves. so my default position on any and all things FBI, is i flat out do not believe them. period.

not that it matters.

When did Sniper's Hide become the official forum of Fuck the Police?

You guys just don't get it. During that 30 minute period there was a giveaway of a free trip to Epsteins fantasy island for anyone clicking on the link. Pedo Joe wants to find out who beat him out of the trip of a life time. (Yeah yeah he's dead blah blah)

For me it was the year 2020 when the police across the country turned on America starting with the Covid tyranny and straight on through the riots. I never cared for state troopers (road pirates). As far as the FBI, always but 2017 sealed the deal.

Police didn't suddenly 'turn' on America. LE has stayed on the same line of trajectory they've always been on. The tyrannical regime that took over our government merely allowed them to reveal themselves.

There has been a one sided, hero-worshipping, ass kissing relationship between LE and America for as long as I can remember until the abuse and favoritism towards the Left recently got too much for many Americans to ignore.

The more oppressive people perceive this Facist government, the more pushback there will be against those that make this all possible by protecting these politicians, corporate CEOs, and this corrupt system. America is waking up slowly. Will they act? Who knows.
