the 2 low shots were from another guy next to me - got to love public ranges. i mistaking scored the blown shot on the offhand target at the range as 4 points, but realized when home there is no 4 on the full "target" changed from 29 to 25. the 2 blown shots on the kneeling target was cutting the 5 point line.

looks bad and is, but gotta include the ugly too.

Re: FEBRUARY 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

This afternoon was really nice. 45+ degrees, sunshine, no wind... I took advantage of this afternoon to get my February short range SH Matches shot. Glad I did, 'cause I think this is about the best I've done in a long time.

[I was going to put my 6-24 Tasco Scope on my Marlin 925 (the one I took off my Savage MK II-FVT), but not now! Man it was nice outside for a change, and I was getting a good sight picture to boot! That Eley Sport and the Marlin 925 made a good combination today!

Thanks to all that participated and shared their thoughts in the learnings thread. Seems this newest edition competition is popular, and hopefully will continue to be as it opens up alot of shooting oppurtunities at short range with various equipment / sight setups, and brings us all back to basic marksmanship skills instead of relying on support devices.

Weather seemed to be the biggest factor this month, and seemed to keep participation down.

Hopefully the weather will break in March, a month of lephrachauns and luck, lions and lambs, and springing forward.
