I have been shooting 168 gr. FGMM match out of my .308 Remmy XCR Compact tactical 20" 1/12 twist with good results. I have heard that Federal Barnes Triple Shock should have similar accuracy results as the Federal match ammo. I could not find any loaded closer to the 168gr. that I'm using to kill paper. True range results will tell me more this weekend when I get sighted in for deer season but I am wondering what I might expect especially because the 150gr. and 168gr. difference from the 1/12 twist barrel. The velocity difference is fairly minimal in comparison.

They shot good in a 1 in 12 twist I had. They do bad things to the inside of animals also. Don't expect to catch one in a deer. Even a big Missouri buck.

Good luck with your hunt.

I was very pleased with these. They shot under .5 MOA. I will be using these next weekend and hopefully I will get to see what they do to a BIG Missouri Whitetail.
