I’m having one built as we speak, was planning on running Hornady match but will definitely try these out as well. Good to see it gaining some traction. Been seeing a lot of the 6.5prcs being built lately.

I’m looking at a 65 prc, hoping it’ll offer enough gains over my CM to be worth it. Currently running 140 bergers at 2805 FPS.

How’s the PRC fair in a short action? I’ve got mags without binder plates so I’m able to seat the CM pretty long

When I had the factory barrel on my hmr, that stuff shot 5 shots 0.3”-0.5” groups in mine. Never tested it with my new barrel though

Perhaps I got a bad lot of it then, because my HMR would shoot 140gr Hornady ELD Match and even Black/American Gunner 3/4" at 100yd but 130gr FGMB was north of 1.5".

It works good in a short action, just depends on the freebore. Gap uses a .130, while saami is .188. I've got a deadline short action with a .188 freebore shilen. 147eldm had to jump .055-.060 to rifling to fit in accurate 300wsm plateless mags. The 140 eldm could fit in the mag and be jammed .020 if I wanted, i ended up jumping .030, so I've got .050 to wear before I'll need to look at bigger jump.

I had no problem getting 140eldm to 3125fps in a 26" barrel, the accurate node was at 3085fps and stayed there.

Same stuff consistently shoots 1/2 MOA or better out of my brother's Tikka CTR. Maybe you ended up with a bad lot?

Meh, not every rifle barrel likes the same load. I've had identical barrels with identical chambers prefer different bullets....I have to see ammo shoot horrible in a bunch of different rifles before I call it junk.

That’s depressing. Just dropped $400 on factory ELD-M. Hopefully my experience will be different. Excited now for this federal ammo
