Has anyone ever had an issue with rounds getting caught on the bottom lip of the barrel? For some reason, my receiver/barrel extend over the mag well about a quarter inch to much.

My bullets can fit in the mag and measure OAL at 2.863" with beget 175 VLD hunting. 175 gr FGMM feeds well as it is a little shorter. However, my ogive length is much longer.

Any thoughts? Can i file down the part that rubs?

Yep, if you want that nice long COAL, just have the tip of the feed ramp notched or simply removed. I've had that done to my 308 rem 700 and it feeds great and with the alpha mags without the reinforcing front plate in the mag I can load to 2.985 or so. Rounds feed just fine.
