"Feeding My Kids is More Important than the law....."

I could call and get a home haircut but my gal works for the unemployment commission.

Figure she is a little stressed out.

I look like a 1970's hippie and soon will have to decide ponytail or pigtails.

Afraid if I buzz cut I will find a bald spot.
Snuby, You could just do a man bun to fit in with the "new normal" lol

Took me two weeks to finally get a set of clippers from the empty shelf space where previously there were many.

Cutting my own high and tights on the back porch.

Dont let them win - give yourself a war cut.

Study the styles in the show "Vikings" and choose one.

Can we start some Memes with that judges face on them?

This should tell you all you need to know abut this judge.

She has the right representation - Warren has the skills and a team with the right mindset to make a real go of this. The outcome may end up affecting all of us as time goes on if for no other reason than at some point needing to feed a family begins to override bullshit laws. Essentially everyone in the US is asking the question: does the government believe it a basic human right to engage in commerce to feed yourself and your family or do laws that prevent that hold sway? The answer to that determines our future as a country. One way is freedom and the other is state planning.

That judge tried to enact a law that made not wearing masks in Dallas a fineable misdemeanor.

ETA: this woman has started a case that at is most base confronts the question of ownership. Does the citizenry own the government or does the government own the citizenry? IMO, this strikes are the core of the Constitution and who we are as a nation; it may be a hair salon, but the importance of what just happened cannot be overstated. A free citizen has stood up in independence and autonomy and has been slapped down by the government because of it. That is beyond words.

Hi,

Not at all, quiet the opposite actually.

I am saying we need to be prepared for that exact line to be used by the enforcers and we need to be ready and available to counter it.

We also need to start countering with emotional based concepts instead of "It is my right" type concepts because it works.

Sincerely,
Theis

Thank you for clarifying that for me. In any event I'm glad that she will be able to afford a good attorney to represent her going forward. https://www.gofundme.com/f/shelley-luther-fund?utm_source=whatfinger

This is part and parcel to the "pushback" phase outlined in the rockefeller document detailing a "lockstep" viral outbreak scenario.

In it they expect citizen pushback, which will legitimize further infringement. All part of the plan apparently.

Good thing about Communists is they follow a plan, a plan in detail made well before taking action.

When the plan goes to shit they are frozen in place without the creative thinking to reap what they have sown.

Warren is awesome, for a boomer lawyer.

Man buns remind me of mass stupidity.
Willie Nelson pigtails, give me the munchies.
Ponytail? A bit too liberal unless I keep a cowboy hat on it.

The captain Jack sparrow looks a tad high maintenance.

Guess the short scruff will stay, my 35-10 days are long gone.

On the Texas news Governor Abbott said this was wrong , an abuse of power and not the intent of the law. and I belive the ag said he wished he could fix it.

Maybe Abbott could call Potus and ask for a pardon? And save face?

I think this has everything to do with pissing Abbott off and nothing else.

You would think a pardon, or stay of whatever legal terminology would be within his realm.

Pardoning someone who violated his order would be awkward but just man up and do it citing excessive punishment.

It's a misdemeanor should have been a simple citation.

Hi,

No because the LEO arresting those people are saying the same thing...

"Its my job and I have to feed my family"...

Sincerely,
Theis

The difference is that the state is denying her rights, not theirs, and they are the state's arm.

When Houston and Harris County reps made it clear they would not support Hildalgo's mask order, Turner publicly said they would be handing out masks to those not complying, not arresting and jailing

I don't remember the quote fully, but former DA Johnny Holmes used to say something to the effect that a bad law needs to be enforced strictly, as that will cause it to get fixed.

Fucking lawyers. Line them up and let the blood flow.
What the fuck has this come to? You need a good lawyer to protect you from another lawyer? Ain't that some fucked up shit?

Right on! Why do we need lawyers at all? Our legal codes are so vast and convoluted that we need these “experts” to help us navigate it? The average man has no hope of trying to competently swim through the sea of laws and codes without the help of a “professional”. They might as well be written in Chinese. Our laws should be so straightforward, clearly worded, and easily understood that our cases shouldn’t be left up to who has a “better” lawyer (or one who can twist things to make a better case for or against someone). Aren’t both sides of a case working from the foundations of the same laws? I guess my pipe dream only works with honest and impartial judges who take seriously their responsibility to make righteous judgements in accordance with the law. We could also do without many, many of our current rules and laws.

Justice, maybe

While a step in the right direction the main problem will go unchecked.
A judge willing to jail her for a ridiculous "law".

This restores my faith in Governor Abbott and the majority of Texans.
Abbott lost my support. Anyone who had anything to do with shutdown orders should be held responsible. Abbott started this mess in Texas. It was his order she was protesting. He caused ithe problem and should not get credit for the fix. He needs to go.

I think next the charges for the bar Posey will be dropped because I belive they did not break any laws.

The bar owner was in violation and probably will receive a citation and hopefully nothing more.

Are you stupid?

All the states have / had similar orders to help mitigate disease spread and Texas is on the front line of repealing all of them.

Are you stupid enough to think for one God Damn minute that Governor Abbott wanted to do any of this.

Who in hell would you think would have done a better job for the State of Texas?

If the Governor did not enact some laws each city or county would have.

Using Dallas country as an example what do you think that would be like.

We would have had the place looking like china in a week.

I will not vote for anyone who took part in shutting anything down. Period. Trump left it to the states. The state could have left it to the counties who could have left it up to the cities who could have left it up to the people. See how that works. The shutdown was a goddamn power grab. It had nothing to do with the overhyped virus. All politicians are filthy.

That is a good answer but I don't think the situation in both states are the same mostly due to population and density.

I also belive the virus in Texas is getting better and getting worse in South Dakota. Through no fault other than it will flow to rural areas last by nature. But flow it will.

I'll type slower.

Governor Abbott set up rules, to keep liberal shitholes from making worse rules.

He is dismantling rules in an orderly fashion.

He never wanted any of these rules in the first place and has not used any of them in a power grab against the people of Texas.

Yeah, Austin has gotten much worse over the past few years BUT Dallas is trying very hard to catch them. It is a shame.
I live outside of Austin and laugh at the people complaining about how taxes and spending is out of hand. They voted the lib morons in office and now are paying the price. The mayor and city council are complete liberal socialist from California or east cost scum. Sadly the lib cancer is spreading and will soon consume all of Texas and it will all go to shit.

Sadly, I think you are 100% correct. It is not a question of "if", rather it is "when".

I understand your views. I just don’t agree. Couldn't he have issued an executive order that would by order keep businesses open and leave the judgement up to the people whether they want to operate or destroy their own businesses? Yes he could have done his part to retain the jobs of a couple million Texans. To disagree with this view you would have to buy into the China virus scam. Most do.

CV Scam?

I was sick for almost 2 months, nearly incapacitated for over 2 weeks and about hauled off to e room on a couple of occasions dizzy faint of breath.

People there were allready dying so I just ate it.

If it returns to me I will go to the hospital since I nearly didn't make it the first time and doubt I can again.

If your young and strong symptoms will likely not be life threatning and you can go about the buisiness of spreading it to all your friends and family .

Now you are playing games with me. I never said the virus doesn't exist.

Cuomo admitted yesterday that 66% of New Yorks china virus hospitalizations are people who had been staying home. They aren't essential workers or even the homeless. In other words you cant stop a virus. If it were possible then 25-70,000 people per year wouldn't die from influenza here in the states. I said this in early March.

The stay at home bullshit and the everybody is gonna die is the scam. Cuomo had to concede the stay at home orders are not stopping shit because it isn't a real quarantine. People are bringing the virus into their homes and spreading amongst family members anyhow. This is also old news. Remember about six weeks ago when the WHO official said that the virus is spreading rapidly amongst countries with stringent lockdown orders and that they need to do testing inside homes and remove the infected with dignity and isolate elsewhere. There was a thread here on it. Yet 33,000,000 here are jobless and you defend a governor who took part in that dispite information out there that this is all bullshit. The salon owner was protesting against the Dallas authorities that were enforcing ABBOTT'S exectutive orders. She was protesting Abbott as well in case you didn't get my point. Why should he get credit for her getting out of jail when he put her there.
