I'm looking for a good quality field shirt to wear for matches.

Should be long sleeve, light weight/breathable, and have pockets for elbow pads

I'm basically describing the Crye Precision Field shirt, which I just got from them. Unfortunately the sizing is not standard, and the process of sending an order back and forth to get the right size has proven to be expensive and frustrating.......

Anyway, I'm going off a bit......
.....what I'm looking for is an alternative to Crye.....

anyone have any suggestions

Re: Field shirt for matches

well if you are like most you won't like this answer, but as someone who tries to be thrifty and try things out, ive found that i like the voodoo tactical combat shirts. theyre light, have zippers under the armpits to allow air in, have padded elbows (not places for pads, but they are fairly thick padding) and are pretty durable material, plus dirt cheap. i have a green and coyote one, but i am probably going to sell them soon since im trying out an atacs acu shirt to see how that is. feels heavier but probably more durable. if youve got some money to test it id seriously try out the voodoo tactical combat shirts. i was pretty impressed with them for the cost

Just for future referance since im planning on putting an order in with them...do their sizes run large or small?

Re: Field shirt for matches

im 5'9 150 lbs and a small is about right, couldn't go any smaller. medium would probably work but would be long on me. i like my shooting shirts to be snug

Well, for reference, I'm 6'1" 225lbs and I normally wear an XL. The crye field shirt in XL/Reg. fits me in the shoulders and sleeves, but the body is enormous on me....

If I re-order, which I probably won't ( their phone CS is lacking to say the least), I would probably try a Lg/long
