Kicking Ass Somewhere
Yep wile skimming through the forum here I found so many threads on the bipods people use, I always cheaped out and just bought ebay junk or wherever was cheapest (except the M1A bipod). I bought it for a Mccrees chassis, figured since I spent so much on a great chassis I might as well get a nice bipod, dam this thing is nice. Its a swivel BRM, notched legs, 6x9, I will have to get rid of the cheapos and get a few more of these bipods. Just a notice for newbies that are going down the cheap bipod road, save your money and get the Harris, "buy once cry once", another peice of wisdom I learned here when looking for optics.

Long after the sweetness of a good price is gone the bitterness of poor quality remains.

Harris makes a good product. Atlas is good too.

I started with a few Harris bi-pods, bought a knock off or two, now have about 1 Harris per rifle. IIRC I have one left on backorder with MidwayUSA to be at a 90%+ Harris set up.

Side question; When were you at Fort Ord? I was there from 1989-1991 in the 9th Inf Reg (1-9 Inf C Co then HHC as a 11B Scout). Shot my first M24 at Hunter-Ligget, where we met some SEAL's and got to shoot a bolt action Barrett .50 at ground squirrels. That started my respect for the precision rifle.

I have a half dozen Harris bipods, never had a problem or regret with them. The oldest one is 19 yrs old, 9-13 non swivel, still running strong. I tried an atlas that a buddy got, it is nice, but what it did best was require u to put a rail on a nice smooth forend and lighten ur wallet by 140 over the Harris
