Finally got my 24" 6.5 Grendel done...

Hey guys just thought I'd share a pic of it. Got it done today by adding a Magpul PRS stock. It came together nicely! Let me know what you think...

Sundevil Upper and Lower

Havent shot it with the stock or for groups, but shot an 8" rock consistantly at 500 and shot a 2'x1' board at about 800. Need to get out and shoot it this weekend...

Thanks Bert. I need to get a different trigger. Right now it's just a factory rock river lpk trigger.

I just stuck the vfg on there for the heck of it...it's coming of.

Do you guys have a preference on which upper to build on? I have been thinking of building one, but only have dpms, or rra uppers. Would one of mine be o.k.?

Either would work fine.

I went with a Vltor MUR1 upper for my Grendel build.

The PRS was the key to my 20" Grendel. Without it, it was just too front heavy.

Of course now it's just heavy, but it is balanced well.

I also appreciate having the LOP and comb adjustability.

What brake are you using?

Did you get that straight from Alexander Arms?

I also have the one available from Alexander Arms.

But it's not by Alexander Arms. It's made by Warped Consulting, and their web site sucks balls.

I too have one and LOVE it. No need to have it timed. It's a straight up GTG screw on.

Nice rifle. I would say go for the PRS! I had an A2 on this and it doesn't even compare. The adjustability is awesome!

T, you can use any upper, but I'd use a Vlto Mur I think! Depends on money really...

The Surefire brake is my favorite with OPS Inc a close 2nd---
gonna try a Noveske flaming pig on a 14.5 GRENDEL just because
---PRS is a great stock with hvy 20" to 26" barrels---saw a pro
team with PRS on 2 of their 17" competition rifles---also the
PRS can be/is used on some tube guns--definite + for me to have the same ergos on a precision AR15 and bolt gun---VLTOR, Larue,
Sun Devil, MEGA, and POF are my choices thus far for uppers and
lowers (also RRiver lowers)--wanna try that Raineer Ultramatch
upper and a Seekins lower next---6.5 Grendel rules--just need a great barrel and trigger and the rest will fall in place!!!
