Just received one of Dean's unfinished M1 stocks in semi-fancy walnut. For those of you who have finished these, what did you do to complete the sanding (e.g.. sandpaper grits used, use wet sanding, etc.) and apply a finish? Anything special I should pay attention to other than to stay away from where the receiver, barrel, handguard goes? I'll be applying Tungoil when stock is ready.
