Very jealous, one on my short list if the opportunity ever comes up. I love the target rifles built out of military service rifles of yesteryear.

That is a really nice looking piece of artic birch on that rifle. Thanks for the pics.

How does it shoot?
I just got it Saturday evening, the rut is on in archery season here, spending all my time on that. I believe some bedding fell out at the upper rear tang. Your opinions would be appreciated. Should be an easy fix.

I am also interested to hear about bedding the tang. I've handled so many different old rifles with cracks at that spot.
There must be a list of Do's and Don'ts when attempting this.

Very nice rifle! Did you get all the various sights for it?

I bought one a few years back and have slowly found the diopter sights for it. I am missing two things now to put it all together, the knurled screw that holds the rear sight to the receiver, and the nut that holds the front sight together. Any chance you could measure those and send along the info? I think the front retention nut is a M16x1.0, and the rear screw is a M4 x .8. Neither of those are common in the US but could be made by a skilled person. Thanks!

Did you still need these parts?

Nice....
I love those stocks, been asked many times to make them- even had a customer offer me a slightly damaged one to keep and use as a pattern stock on the duplicator. Couldn't find a blank with the needed depth, nor a recoil pad made that's large enough.

The recoil pad is a non-issue. It’s a piece of checkered rubber glued to the wood.
