First attempt at kydex holster *new pics added*

Kydmax and I were messin around and came up with this
Glock 23 holster with tek-lok

Glock mag, alpha, AW, glock 23

I've been wanting to do this for a while for pistol I can't get a holster for. How did you heat the Kydex? Heat gun or oven? Also, what did you use as a press?

Used the oven and Chaser rigged up a press in literally about 10 minutes out of a 2x4, some door hinges and plywood and ordered the press foam from on line. Pretty simple really

Go to your local JoAnn's or other fabric store and you can get that white cushion foam .... works fine for a press.

I've found kydex works better if you just heat the whole piece. about 5-10 minutes in the oven on 300 works. Put it on top of something so you can see when it gets soft enough, it'll just droop.

The rest is place on top of item, press with foam press and wait for it to cool. Then trim to size.

You can get little black grommets at the same fabric store. and use those to attach the front to the back.

I'm pretty sure Chasers oven hasnt shut off since we made the first holster. He is out of control.... and worse than that, I think he is almost out of kydex!!!

Did you leave the inside kydex
or did you line it with something?

Retention is great, the one screw u see can be adjusted for retention. It has a very nice "snap" into place around the trigger gaurd with the screw in the middle position. I have alot of room left to tighten and loosen it as needed.
The inside was left as kydex no needed to line.

wow. looks good. I'd be interested in seeing documentation on how you formed the kydex and what the press looks like
