A balmy 19 degrees today as we met for the first time at Pemigewasset Fish & Game in Holderness, NH. Unbelievably fun. Steel on that hill out to 800y - which for the Northeast, is really saying something...

19? That's bathing suit weather. A couple Hide guys and I went out last weekend and it was 7 when we got there at 9am and it got up to around 15 when we left around noon. LOL

Seriously, I'd like to make it up there. Looks like you guys had fun. Can you have cans in NH?

Re: First NE Tactical inaugural group meetup

Nice, we have a 400 yarder here in CT, which is good as it get's around here as far as I know. Looks like a good time.

@Rob01 - I guess you'll just have to show us how it's done next time, oh battalion commander of the polar sharpshooters club

. I believe cans can be tricky in NH - the handy NRA guide doesn't explicitly mention them:

http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/NHSL.pdf

But I recall hearing that you cannot own them in NH. Just shooting for the day though, you may be fine.

EDIT - no, that's right, it's VT that has the suppressor issues. NH is just dandy with them.

@WCW - yeah, I've been trying forever to find 1K around here. We're close.. more on this to come

@Adician - In which pic? With us shooting, that belongs to Jimmy2Times, in the empty pic, the near rifle belongs to DogboneS. You'll have to ask them.

LOL Believe me it wasn't fun. Just had the day planned with the guys and said WTH. Took about 3 hours for the feeling in my face to come back from the 10 mph wind which was also blowing. I'll head up to NH when it warms up a bit

Just wondering about the cans as I would like to take the new 300WM up there and stretch it's legs but I could go without the can as well.

Re: First NE Tactical inaugural group meetup

Yeah, I really don't think it'll be a problem. The more I think about it, the more I recall they're very can friendly in NH. Just search northeastshooters.com. Plenty of postings on how it's legit. Also, this range is in the middle of nowhere. If a can suppresses the break in a forest, does it make a sound?

Re: First NE Tactical inaugural group meetup

Tricky? The only thing tricky about cans in NH is figuring out where the shots are coming from if someone's shooting at you with one.

The DBM in the B&C is a CDI Precision by Hide Member of the same name. I cannot recommend Jeff's product or customer service highly enough. Truly second to none. His DBM setup is absolutely flawless. Even operating my rifle and loading the mags with double gloved, 100% numb, near frostbitten fingers, I still couldn't get it to malfunction.
