They are great actions and built like a tank. Recontour and polish the cocking ramp on the bolt before you coat the action, add a Tubb Speedlock firing pin and spring and it will be smooth as glass. Congrats

Which Tubb pin? The Rem 700 long action pin and spring? Do you have a pic of the recontoured ramp?

Unless your M2008 is a long action you should need the short action. If I'm wrong someone please chime in cause I'm going to order one for my build on a M2008 shortly.

Mine is a Lapua long action.
