I’m looking to get into reloading my 6.5 CM and 6.5 Grendel. I really don’t shoot anything else.

I’m leaning towards the Hornady classic kit, some Hornady dies, calipers, bullets, powder, primers (I have plenty of used brass) and getting to work.

I’ve read through all the stickied threads and watched a bunch of youtube videos but still a bit confused on if I will need anything additional than what I’ve listed above? Do I need a case trimmer or anything additional since I am starting out with once fired brass? Is a tumbler necessary to start or. Can I hand clean? any other advice?

Try and find primers. Wait to buy your other components until you have acquired them. Primers currently out of stock just about everywhere

Skip a kit. Buy the press you want, get a chargemaster 1500 for powder throwing, get a vibrating tumbler.

Your brass length and how much it grows each time you fire it will determine when you have to trim

I 2nd skip the kit

You'll need tools/comparators to check shoulder set back and bullet jump.

Top Grade Ammo......by Glen Zediker....imo a must have .....very good info

Really dont "need" a tumbler...fine steel wool works for outside / brushes for inside neck

Good luck and welcome to the rabbit hole.

I mainly use the tumbler for pistol and AR brass.
