Does any of this .308 lapua brass look like I’ve over annealed it? I placed the darkest pieces in my hand for comparison to the rest, aswell as from different angles of light.
Nothing looks wrong, but Tempilaq is really the best way to be sure. I use some 750 on inside neck and outside halfway down to the case head, making sure the former goes clear and the latter doesn't.

There's really no way to tell if you've annealed it correctly by just by looking. Though, one can tell if they've been over annealed when it's to an extreme. If anything, from the looks of it, they could be under annealed, but again, that really can't be seen just by looking at them.

That brass looks pretty good. Usually when annealing with my EP 2.0 brass annealer , ill Usually try to get my anneal marks (if the brass shows anneal marks that is as not all brass shows marks well, especially freshly cleaned brass) so the marks are about .25" down the body. I just actually loaded up a bunch of how to videos here www.epintegrations.com showing how I anneal brass with my annealer using the glow method
