Once I get components for 6.5 CM I will begin loading for it when my Seekins Havak comes in. I need advice on what components to buy in terms of bullets, powder, dies, etc. I'm not a novice reloader and have been reloading for years, its simply my first time loading for 6.5 CM. I mainly want a hunting load capable of medium sized game, (deer etc.) and a target load. I'm guessing those will be the ELD-X and ELD-M respectively but I know that there are other bullets out there.

If anyone has a lead on components, I would be grateful as I'm starting from scratch in this department.

For reference, I use redding comp dies, federal GMM primers, Norma, Federal, and Lapua brass, and Sierra and Hornady bullets for my .308.

Lapua brass
140 eld for range and some hunting
143 eldX for more hunting then range
H4350 powder
CCI 450 small rifle magnum primers
Load that will provide 2750-2830 FPS usually 41.9-42.3 in most 26” barrels.

In my experience 6.5 Creed is easy to load for. I know when working my way up all the loads were shooting good. I just strapped a chrono in my gun and shot each charge to find the lowest SD and ES. That the load I stuck with.

130 HVLD is also a great choice. I use 42.8gr h4350, Lapua srp brass, and cci 450 primers.
