For those shooters who shoot a factory chamber(usually a 344 or 345 neck), how are you FL sizing cases to keep runout down?

My fired necks are 344 and to get 2 thous of neck tension I need my necks to be 334 after sizing.........

Would it be helpful to get a custom honed FL die close to that neck diameter then use different size expander balls for less neck tension?

I see people all the time online saying they use the Redding S bushing dies but I have found going from 344 to 334 causes runout and also the bushings do not size to the correct size listed on the bushings.

Any input would be greatful

To help runout, it's recommended by many shooters when sizing down from a .344"-.345" neck to size down in increments of no more than .005" at a time. You can use different sized S bushings to do this. Others recommend using Lee's neck only collet die along with a Redding body die to F/L when necessary, which works very well, making accurate ammo. I use both methods.

I step size in two increments as well using the following method:

First, brass goes through a Lee collet die to get from .344 down to about .338, followed by a Redding neck bushing die to complete the neck sizing operation (down to .333 - .334 range). So far this seems to be producing consistent ammo.
