...ive written off small things like training aids, ear pro, some of my training as business expenses without issues...

theoretically i could write off some of my firearms but thats not a boat i want to rock.

I wrote off 2 or 3 guns when I had a company selling reloading components. In that same time I bought 5 or 6 guns that I didnt write off. The 2 or 3 I wrote off had a specific purpose as either a demo or a gun for development. All were calibers I previously didnt own and outside of the business I had no interest in them.

Sure. So long as they are business related.

YouTubers have that nailed. Setup LLC and a trust. Buy everything under the business and assign it to the trust, shoot video and profit.
