Night Vision Flir 536

Anybody know how the video recording works on these? Just got one, try to record manually, it says memory unavailable.... does the internal shot activated work automatically, or is there something you have to do to it to set up? Instructions are unclear. Thanks for any help

I just got a 536 and havent figured on the recoil activation yet but mine worked fine just tapping your middle button twice to start recording

I've had one for about 6 months now. Everything has been flawless with the unit. The only problem I had was the scope would turn off after recoil following a shot. 2 boxes of 300 blackout later I figured out the battery cover has to be screwed on as tight as possible and situation has not occurred since. The instructions are relatively easy to follow to set up the recoil activated recording. You have to turn the recording on under one of the menus and then go to another menu which sets criteria for recoil force to activate the recording ( accelerometer ? ) and fire a few shots adjusting the lines on the scale for acceleration limitations. Once you set it up its good to go for most rifles which have average recoil. Hope this helps

Yes sir I did figure it out. Thanks for the help. Directions are clear, but not idiot proof. I fell under idiot category. Had to follow instructions, then power down, and back up to get it to work
