I am wanting to install flush cups on my hs precision stock. After reading C.Dixons post about "blowing up" one of these stocks im wondering if there is enough material in the rear of the stock to get good enough purchase. Im curious if there is some kind of foam or something I could use to fill the stock to give some rigidity to the area or if it is sturdy enough as it is.

Re: flush cup/stock filler?

After you drill your hole for the flush cup, add some epoxy within the stock around the circumference of the hole. Add epoxy to the side of the flush cup. As you screw in the flush cup into the stock, you should get good bond between the epoxy on the cup and that within the stock already. Once the epoxy cures, you will essentially have created a flange within the stock to hold the cup in. No foam necessary.
