is it possible to change out my floorplate into a detachable box magazine feed? does someone make a part for that? can a gunsmith do this?

Yes, CDI can or a smith of your choice. Both your stock and action will need to be modified.

Contact Short Action Customs, FN will be announcing the release of the TBM which is already on the SPR A5. It has a 5 or 10 round magazine, minimal stock work and NO machining of the receiver.
