While it looks like there no chance in hell for the Element chassis since there's no reply in that thread, I'm thinking of maybe doing the Evolution on my FN. I know I have to have a slight machine job done to allow for the AI mag, just would like to see some pics and any oddities with the system. One question nobody seems to know is if once the machining is done and (for some odd reason) I want it back in the original configuration, will it function properly with the hinged floorplate?

Right now my plan is with a folder and possibly using the Magpul CTR with riser. Probably send it to SAC for the work.

I was contemplating the Tikka CTR and Element, but I have the FN now.

Thank you

Mark

I know a 70 will fit in a XLR as they are showing it as available inlet and there is bottom metal that alows the use of AI mags without action work as far as I know. Keep us updated as it should be a killer setup

Mark,

We only offer the Model 70 in the Evolution chassis. To keep the cost of the Element down we are only building it for chassis that we sell in higher volume. We simply do not sell very many Model 70 chassis.

The magazine well does need to be opened up in the front for ANY model 70 to be able to accept the AICS style magazines. The rifle will accept the factory style bottom metal as there is only material removed from the sides of the magazine port.

Kyle, I posted on the Element thread, any chance for a prepaid group buy on FN/W70 Elements? How many units and cost, etc.

Oh-and thanks for answering the hinged floorplate question.

Please advise

Mark,

You come up with 20 buyers for a model 70 Element chassis and I will draw up the program and make them. Cost would be the same as the Element so starting at $595.00.
