Installed this trigger system and thought I had the disconnector timed properly, but didn't (rifle doubled midway through the first mag), and obviously had to take the rifle out of service.
We're (sons and I) long-range bench shooters primarily, but my younger son (his rifle) swears it wasn't trigger "slap", which JP warns can happen to those of us used to 1-2 lb triggers.
Seeing as I need to work on this anyway- wondering how many use the yellow, 3-3.5 lb hammer spring, instead of the recommended red "tactical" spring. We only shoot handloads- CCI primers, which are a bit on the hard side, but not as hard as milspec (at least that's what I'm told...).
JP recommends the heavier hammer spring when this piece of kit is used in the AR-10 platform. Do any of you use the lighter spring without issues, or should I change out to the heavier hammer spring?
