Re: For anyone shooting 155's and varget in a .308

I haven't chrono'd my loads yet,(I'll sidle up to someone's chrono eventually!) but I run 47.6 grains of Varget under the 155s (2155 and 2156. Scenars to be here this week but I'll work up with them!)in both my SPS and My Sav. 10 FCP with no ejector swipe, sticky bolt lift, or adverse primer signs.

It'll be fun to try out 8208 eventually, but I don't see any reason yet and I have plenty of Varget and RL 15 to use. Running the JBM data at a MV of 2900 fps, my come ups were actually a little conservative out to 1000 yards.

Thanks for the heads up Gordo!

I'm at 46.8 Imr xbr ,155 scenar at 2.850 oal ,cci 250 lapua brass in my 24" Ai Ae,2955fps with no pressure issues.Haven't loaded up varget but couple guys with Ai rifles have been up to 48 gns of varget 155lapua ,lapua brass.work up with caution!!

Re: For anyone shooting 155's and varget in a .308

when i get home, im going to give some alliant 2000mr a go round. suppose to give similar pressures to varget, but with my particular load velocities in the 3000-3100 range. but only the chronograph will tell

Re: For anyone shooting 155's and varget in a .308

I get 2850 with 47 gr of varget in a Lapua case with 155 moly scenars. Very accurate in a 10 twist 24" long barrel. Length is 2.8" coal to feed from a mag.

No signs of excessive pressure.
