I've got a .308 Tikka T3 that I just put into a Manner MCS-T stock (with CDI DBM). When ordering I requested the pillar install but was told by Manners that the T3 inlet leaves enough material that pillars aren't necessary. Seemed kinda strange (since I've read a lot about how important bedding is) but I know a teeny tiny amount about this stuff and the folks at Manners know exponentially more so I'm apt to believe them.
Anyway, just wondering if others were getting good performance out of their Tikka actions without any bedding in a Manners stock. I'm sure the rifle is more accurate then I am but I'm just wondering if I made a mistake in starting out with a Tikka action and if I should have went with a more conventional action.
