Rifle Scopes Found old weaver K15 in safe (NIB) Whats worth

I was taking out some of my stuff from my old safe, which holds all my safe queens, (pretty wood shotguns,1st guns etc) I found a Brand new still sealed in box, a K (doesn't say KT) series 15x scope in gloss finish. I took it outside today beside my VX3 leupy, and i swear it was just as if not clearer, and brighter. It also has the adj obj down to 15ft I could look at stuff right next to me clear as day, and as far away as i could see. It says on the box, and on the scope "Made in Japan" and is probably 10-12 years old. I need an optic for varmint hunting on a precision AR build. Only thing I could find was a site that sold the new ones KT 4-6-15x scopes, they say are now made in Philippines w/ Japan glass for $320. Are these older ones worth anymore money? Good?
Dunno whether to sale it or mount it up.

Anyone have an idea whats the worth? Or if it would be a good Varmint scope? I let my bro-in-law compare it to my Leupy VX3 6.5-20 LR, and he said same thing, little brighter than the leupy.

Well I just had a similar experience with a new addition 700v. Found my long forgotten real Weaver T-10. Mounted it up and worked up loads. Got on Gunbroker just looking for a good cheap scope. Found a Leupy 16X old target scope. It's now on the 700V. Any more power and mirage could be an issue. Nice retro scope for an old retro shooter. Give it a try, the price is right!

Yea I keep hearing "The real k 15's are gtg" I asked what they were talking about and they said "when they were made in japan" now I think some are made in Philippines and other places. I know 1 thing I wouldn't trade my Tactical 5-15 FFP for a Mk4 ever. I love that scope, and how true it tracks, and the eye relief is amazing.

REAL Ts and Ks were made in the USA

I've been using the Weaver T-10 on my M-70 300 WM 1000 yard rifle since the late 70s, its still works great.

I have a Remington 24X I use on my H&R 5200. Sucker is great on rim fires, I tried it on a CF and got wacked pretty good, it doen't slide that easy. Forgot where/when I got it.

I used it in some English (Prone) matches and its the Cat's Meow.
