Funny you posted this, in regards to the military, we’ve already been told, don’t expect money to send Soldiers to attend schools next year, because there’s no money… That’s after they’ve cut funding this year by over half…funny, I remember this happening before in the not so distant past….

What do you when you can't meet recruiting goals, shrink the entire military till you can and then brag about how you’re filling the ranks… SMH

There is a competition of this every year in Valdez AK.

I got to meet Don Sheldon when I was working in Talkeetna. (Long time ago)
An early mtn flying legend up there.
He would toss pine boughs out on the glacier from his plane to give depth of field to the glacier to land.

The gun restorer Doug Turnbull does that stuff…

He has a standing invitation to land in the field at Schloss Nitrocellulose. It has had a Piper cub land there before…

Big wings, big motors, big balls!

My main takeaway from this image was this: Look at the massive planned depopulation of the US by 2025. 324M in 2016---54M in 2025!!!!
This is from a major contributor/consultant to .gov for strategic planning if I'm not mistaken.
