SCT is a great company. The frames are not agreeable with my hands though. I shot a few mags through a micro SCT build and it hurt me some. They don’t seem to move around in your hand however.
Ours are bone stock factory. I have sometimes put triggers or connectors in Glocks I carried but I plan to leave these as they are….maybe a set of big dot style sights if anything. Triggers on micro Glocks are really great IMHO as well as Gen5 guns. I eventually will put an optic on mine and already have a DPP titanium plate for a Holosun K footprint. I have a Dot on a GG19 and honestly am still not as proficient as I strive to be so until singularity is reached I am carrying irons. You default to the lowest level of training under stress, you don’t rise to your best day so far.
Our motivation for moving from G19s for carry was primarily weight and size. These are carry guns and reliability over everything is the goal. When I borrowed a friend’s for a couple of months, we shot hundreds through it. My wife and daughter immediately improved due to their relatively small hands fitting better on the 43X. My splits were ever so slightly slower after full size Glock grips for 30 years. I have since trained out of that.
My SIL still carries his G19.4 but I am buying him a G43X soon. He works hard, full time firefighter, volunteer firefighter for 2 depts and gives 100% to my daughter and grandson.
Now on magazines, I am sold on the current iteration of the PSA 15 round micro mags. Our 6 are the “micro slick” polished ones and have been 100% in all pistols. I have one friend (another 43X) with 4 of the black mags with one stoppage on one mag on the first use, then 100% for hundreds of rounds (I borrowed this gun and shot it a lot last fall). I have another friend with a G48 and 4 black mags with zero stoppages.
All have the newest red followers that came out last summer.
A 43X with 15+1 onboard is a hard hard weapon to beat for capability and ease of carry.
