We had an ice storm a while back and there were lots of trees down on the farm. Some I'd cut out and some I'd just run over. One looked rotted out enough, was probably a foot thick at most and had no branches I could see so I just ran it over. It did what I expected and basically crumbled under the weight of the truck.

However, what I didn't see was that the large rotted out tree had perfectly pinned a much smaller, maybe 6-8" tree that was still fully rooted and just bent over. Well, it popped loose when the rotted trunk crumbled and, of course, ran right up the passenger side door of my truck and crushed it. Was about $6k of damage.

I don't run over trees, or even fallen branches anymore.

I did that. Maybe entry level pay has changed substantially, but I didn’t make 100 at 25. Not even close. I think my first salary was around $55k or so at 23. This was around 2010 though.

Midpoint for Eng 1 at my current place is $91k. I suspect they hire new grads somewhat below that.

All of the kids my place hires out of college start at $120k or higher. That said, most of them have master's degree, so maybe I should amend my statement a bit.

Blue, the neighbor’s dog, comes up to our house every morning about 10am. He comes in the pet door and hangs with our dogs all day. He is here when we get home and he stays until we go to bed. I tell him good night as I retire and he soon leaves to go home. He does this every day. The neighbors say they see him in the mornings, he is inside when they wake up…🤣

He absolutely loves my grandson and is just a great dog. He is a lot of company to my 15 year old JRT and he is only 3 years old but acts like such an old soul.

Thats funny. My neighbor had a little Pomeranian, Sassy, who adopted me. As soon as she heard my truck coming home she'd head up the road and be waiting for me. I'd tell her to go home but she always wanted to stay. The neighbor was really patient.

Ouch. Think how long that trap was planned for you by God.

A balanced meal, including meats, dairy products (and eggs) vegetables/fruits and roughage(fiber), grains and that most dreaded of all two white things, fat and sugar. All in moderation, is far more healthy than any ”diet” or veggie shit or just about anything else that limits essential protiens, carbohydrates and fiber or vitamins and minerals.

Fats make you feel fill so you don’t overeat. Carbohydrates including that dreaded sugar, white or brown, gives you and your brain energy, grains and other slow to digest and use carboydrates and fats give you reserve energy, roughage helps digestion and most good vegetables and fruits not only provide carbohydrates but many essential vitamins and minerals as well as Fiber.

And don’t forget that most horrible white milk. Calcium

so the point of all this. Eating balanced diet is what we need, not some cooked up shit that the coastal elites want us to eat to save “their“ planet.

Oh, eating crickets. Well that might be a consideration. That would be if the fish actually have time to digest them between the time they bite, I set the hook and reel them in.

So, dig into that white sugar, white bread, white rice, white milk (or chocolate) and all that white stuff you like, just don’t eat too much of any one thing or eat too much in whole.

(Ice cream makes a great desert, lots of calcium and carbs and fats)
