My wife and I along with another couple just came back from a couple weeks around the San Rafael Swell area / Goblin Valley. Had a great time with the SxS on all the trails and hiking the slot canyons. The desert / rock stuff is a very nice change of pace for us guys that look at rain falling out of the sky for 6 months.

I have a vertical propane smoker. Light, set temp, put chip tray in, and my bluetooth temp probes will alarm when it's done to the temp I choose. I enjoy smoking meat, not babysitting.
