Oh, I know where they are. It's just like freeing up a snagged lure. Just strip out some line and keep it slack, walk downstream until you're below the "item in question" and pop it/them loose.

Jeebuz, you sound like I've never done this before.......... :ROFLMAO:

Pro tips

Eastern Oregon is a different planet than Western Oregon. Still not a lot of people out there. Incidentally I know exactly where Coyote Jack's place was located. I went there a couple of times and found some old bottles, broken glass and other stuff. No old traps though. I hunted coyotes and bobcats near there and I had my Airedale Angus with me. I like to think Coyote Jack was there.

Photo is early 1900's. His name is Frank Marshall and his wife's name is Myrtle.

Edit: Found this on Harney County Museum site. https://harneycountylibrary.catalogaccess.com/photos/1218

He appears to have been the Ben Lilly of coyotes.

Ben Lilly wasn't married, had no mouths to feed other than his hounds and probably had a screw loose. He killed so many bears and mountain lions, the government told him to knock it off. That was before game laws.
