i know fuck all about landing on an aircraft carrier.....but i though i heard that they are supposed to land under full thrust just incase they miss the cable or something like this happens?

Don't picture it like traditional dovetails. They didn't slide these together, they stacked them one course at a time.

Yes that is true. The Race Face Atlas pedals have been awesome, I haven't been able to tear up a pair. It's still tough to beat a pair of vans to ride in.
