Be aware that courts do not like booby traps even when utilized by a righteous homeowner, and may well assess $$$ damages to a criminal. A pal of mine awoke one night to some asshat attempting to lever out his bedroom window AC unit. Turns out a 357 mag round will go all the way through an AC unit. The homeowner was no billed and was only out the $$$ for a new AC. I really like the idea of adding a no flash game camera to a security system. Regards

My mate got burgled 3 times in 4 months... they wrecked his house on 2 occasions.... I got him some flashbangs.. he got phosporus and magnesium oxide and filled them up and wired a trip line off his property but on the line where they entered on all occasions... 2 went off one night and 3 dudes went to the hospital with 1st degree burns to face, neck and chest, back and legs... It pretty much burned them to the bone.... never been burgled since.... cops " suspect ther flashbangs were left by an irate householder" but could never prove it...

As a cop, why would you want to prove it? They got their just deserves. Went looking for trouble and they got burned. Literally.

Yesterday - My daughters dog ran into the street and started attacking someone - her mom goes out and see's "The Shoe" - as seen in another photograph of this guy.

So she talks to him and he ADMITS EVERYTHING.

He leaves, she calls cops, cops bust him half a mile up the road.

He was trying to steal her bicycle wheels, meth or crack head, 33 years old - in jail for 4 counts of tresspassing with criminal intent....or some such law.

Suh-WEET!!!

Cops told her that without the photographs he would walk.

Glad to hear he got picked up. When i had a problem with someone cutting the lock on my shed and helping themselves to my tools i got a pack of fishing hooks cant remember the name but it looks like 3 hooks joined together. I tied one every 6"in some strong line and strung it abt 5' from the door. I strung it the width of my shed. Abt a week later i hear all this noise and screaming in the shed, i went out to find this person all wrapped up with hooks all over him and he was hurting anf bleeding. I smacked the shit head with an ax handle to get his attention a couple of times. I took his wallet and said i could cal the cops and he said no he was on parole or i could keep his wallet that way i knew were he lived in case anything should happen again on my property. I still have his wallet and nothing else has happened. That was several yrs ago. last time i saw him he was walking down the driveway uching owing and all sorts or other sounds and choice words.

The drawback to the game camera's is they look obvious. My brother was telling me about one that looks like a standard set of motion activated flood lights but also contains a game camera.

Haven't had a chance to look them up but try this search

Google search first alert game camera motion light.

they are called treble hooks, i done the same thing 15 years ago when i moved in this place, it seemed the neighbor kids, 7 of them, (5 - 15 y.o.) believed my "stuff" was their toys, i caught them several times and told them they might get hurt coming over here as there was a lot of cactus, so moving here from Colorado, i went to my fishing box tied up a bunch of of #14 gold treble hooks on 2lb. test line and strung thru the creosote bushes 2 - 4 feet above ground, my other neighbors wife, we all have 1 1/2 acre lots was telling my wife a few months later, how two boys and one girl had to go to the hospital to have fish hooks removed from their hands, arms and legs, their parents moved to Utah about 6 months later.

Man that is great news!!! I cant stand that crap, especially the "I wanna sneak around like a retarded ninja w/gloves". I am glad your family is a little safer now. But I have to agree, bear trap pics would have been awesome! The last time anyone ever tried to break into one of my family members house, my dad kicked the door as hard as he could....while the guy was halfway in the door lol. that guy went to the hospital before jail.

No, he wasn't. He was there too often and for too long. Bicycle wheels are the least of your worries from this pervert. Might also wanna recommend your distaff relatives not confront prowlers other than to say, "Freeze Motherf**r" and be able to back it up. Could have turned out worse.
But I'm glad he's locked up, for your family's sake.
