they are called treble hooks, i done the same thing 15 years ago when i moved in this place, it seemed the neighbor kids, 7 of them, (5 - 15 y.o.) believed my "stuff" was their toys, i caught them several times and told them they might get hurt coming over here as there was a lot of cactus, so moving here from Colorado, i went to my fishing box tied up a bunch of of #14 gold treble hooks on 2lb. test line and strung thru the creosote bushes 2 - 4 feet above ground, my other neighbors wife, we all have 1 1/2 acre lots was telling my wife a few months later, how two boys and one girl had to go to the hospital to have fish hooks removed from their hands, arms and legs, their parents moved to Utah about 6 months later.
