I cleaned my rifle today. it now will not come back together, the entire buttpiece moves just a little. I've gently removed and retorked it down at least 5 time over the past hour and I can not get this to go back together they way it was..

How does it go together? Threaded? A bolt? Etc. are you sure you didn’t lose a spacer? What chassis is it? Did you put it together exactly the way you took it apart?

I did it the same way I have every cleaning session, but for the life of me I don’t see what is wrong, I’ve removed and reinstalled it a half dozen times and it never secures..
the buttstock screws into the chassis, then one bolt in the buttstock secures then together
