I got a chance to slip out and do a little cold weather test on my new GAP10 6CM today. It was 10* below zero with a breeze out of the northwest. George sent along one box of handloaded 105gr Hornadys loaded with 41.8grs H4350. I fired one shot up close, then shot one at 100 meters, moved the POI down 1.3 mils,(.3 high@100M) zeroed the turrets and started shooting steel. The first plate was 360 meters. I put in 1.2 and fired two shots, both hits. The next plate was 460 meters. I was using dope from my 6XC bolt gun and 105gr scenars at 3050fps. The next 7 shots were all in fairly close(three grazed the very bottom)for holding off a bit for wind and showed up on the bottom end of the plate. I added a tenth and fired my last shot that hit at about 1 o'clock.

The rifle functioned perfectly and shot lights out, regardless of the cold.

8 shots at 460 meters.

My testing will continue when I get my dies and brass. So far, so good!! Looking forward to shooting it when gets really cold!!

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

It's great to hear that it likes the cold! I just put my order in with Ken yesterday for the GAP AR10 in 6mm CR. Can you tell me what length barrel you have on yours? I ordered my in 23". Am i to understand the dope for 460 was 1.2 mil. I ordered my dies but did not order the match dies, which ones did you get.
Any more info that you have or would be great, cant wait to hear more on how it runs
thanks

Absolutely awesome PGS. 6 CM = 6mm Coyote Mangler. I have one in build too and looking forward to it as much as anything I have ever gotten in my life.

Mine is 23"...I always use a zero range of 180 meters on my coyote rifles. At 360M I had in 1.2 mils and at 460M I had in 1.9 mils.

The rifle is really easy to shoot with hardly any recoil or muzzle jump. With a full mag and bipod it weighs in at 16 pounds.

that isn't even cold in this neck of the woods yet. Can't wait to hear the 30 and 40 below reports... it is coming fast !

all day long coyote hunting is upon us ! Can't wait to hear how it does .... </div></div>

FWIW, the new rifle was broke in today.....coyote wise, that is....grin!

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

I just read the thread about the 6 Creedmoor, hadn't heard of it yet. I'm thinking about a bolt gun in 6 competition match, which is a pretty obscure caliber.

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

I stay away from the obscure calibers. And with where this one is headed I think you would be very safe in going with this one. I have one in a bolt action rifle and its laser accurate.

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

I am too lazy to type Creedmore very often so 6CM it is for me

Yeah pat, you just had to be the first one with a coyote on it didnt ya.

Accuracy test with McCourt Munitions ammo. Andrew does a fine job! Thanks bro!

My run ups were checked out to 700 meters, confirming a MV of 3050fps. This rifle is as easy to shoot as a Daisy Red Rider. I was seeing trace and impact on every shot today.

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

Thanks for posting up results Pat.

Nice shooting!

Looking forward to some pictures of 'yotes dropped with the GAP-10/McCourt Munitions combo.

Ha, good one ford. I need the cliff notes on this one.

Re: GAP10 6CM.....HAMMER!

Appears he actually calls his the 6mm CompetitionMatch and then shortens to 6CM so I will take the 6mm Creedmore and shorten it to 6CM also in most cases. Apparantly nobody likes typing a full name out all the time
