I've collected military rifles and military equipment for close to 20 years. While I sold off much of my equipment collection over the last few years I have kept all of my C&R rifles. I was sick of moving several footlockers of WWII field gear every three years and I wasn't displaying it so I sold most of it to pay for some modern firearms purchases. I took these pictures about six years ago and ran across them while looking through my Photobucket account, everything is original except the WWII USMC helmet cover. I thought some of you here might enjoy them.

The Garand in this picture is a Dec 1941 Springfield Armory.

The K98 is a 1940 manufactured Mauserwerke.

Thanks for the compliments gents. At one time I had a complete WWII USMC layout and was close to having a US Army layout for the ETO. I kept all of my edged weapons (bayonets, M3 fighting knife, Corpsman bolo, etc) and everything weapon related (cleaning kits, WWII data book, etc). It was a lot of fun collecting this stuff through the years and it proved to be a good investment, I sold most of my collection for much more than I had invested in it.

Nice displays! I love the mix of field gear with rifles. I collect late war minty German field gear and late minty K98ks (a couple of snipers as well), so I always enjoy looking at other people's stuff!

Thanks, I actually kept most of my German items and have more than what is depicted in the K98 picture. In fact, an aluminum Heer belt buckle that I stumbled across in an antique mall (paid $5 for it) when I was in junior high started my collecting. I got serious about it when I purchased my second M1 Garand about 10 years ago. First I wanted the proper bayonet, then I wanted an original cartridge belt, helmet, canteens, etc. and it just snowballed to the point that I had a complete issue to include period personal items like razors and soap. It's a fun and educational hobby but I don't have unlimited funds and I decided to focus of firearms.
