I tried installing a sd-e, and noticed the finish missing on the nose of the trigger.
I contacted customer service as I was concerned about the unfinished metal. I was informed they machine in a relief cut after finishing. As you can see in the image above, it was not machined, but as long as function wasn't impeded, I was ok with the missing finish.
I went ahead and installed it, and upon testing it out, I noticed the hammer reset was gritty, and the 2nd stage felt much heavier than the advertised 1.3lbs. (I don't have a pull gauge, so it may or may not be heavier)
I pulled it out and noticed the hammer was wearing into the trigger.
I don't want to hassle their CS again for something that is not an issue, but I guess I was expecting more for my dollar. Is this common on these triggers? Their CS sent me an image of one they pulled off their shelves, which had a very nicely machined relief cut
This example looks like it wouldn't have an issue with the hammer rubbing.
Am I making a big deal out of nothing and expecting too much, or is this one that slipped through the cracks?
Thanks
