Getting into long range shooting

So I’m looking to get into long range shooting and the two rifles I’m stuck between buying are bergara b14 hmr and the ruger pr I want to know the pros and cons of each rifle and what you would choose if you were me. Just worrying about the rifle at this point going to be getting my scope and mounting equipment later on.

^^ Ya pretty much. Either of those will be a good starting point to grow from. Just don't cheap out on glass when the time comes, that's the biggest piece of advice I can give.

That's coming from someone who just got into this game in the last 3 years.

Bergara, uses 700 triggers and stocks/chassis plus B is before R in the alphabet.

Is there one you are leaning towards more than the other ? How to they feel in your hand ? You know you like one over the other you just want validation lol , choose one , buy it , shoot it love it or hate it it's yours enjoy . good luck happy shooting

The rpr takes prefits... So if you do decide you like it you are set.

Both are good choices. The RPR is well supported for aftermarket parts if you like to tinker. IF you plan on doing a bunch of upgrades Id consider saving alittle more and going after the higher end "Production rifles" such as the Badrock Southfork, PVA John Hancock, or MPA BA PMR. These rifles are far Superior with alittle more investment.

Where do I get me one of these “neither” rifles?

I would go RPR just because the infrastructure and prefits. But if I were you and you were me I’d be building a custom rifle off a rem 700 or clone. But $ is ultimately the deciding factor.
