Ghillie Suit - What to use as Base?

I am making a Ghillie suit for hunting...

I plan to make it green/camouflage like most for Turkey season, and then attach some Orange/White burlap for deer season. The plan is to have everything Modular so I can mix and match for whatever situation I find myself in.

What I need is some sort of base clothing with either straps pr maybe even a mesh material. I don't really want to use the netting if I can help it.

go with a ghillie that just covers your head and shoulders. anything more than that is overkill for those hunting purposes. this will also allow you to wear bulkier clothes and layers for when it get cold and nasty out.
