Not disappointing at all. Both of AJ's new acquisitions are .45 ACP. This thread reinforces the fact that the .45 Auto IS and ALWAYS will be the superior cartridge.

quick report, bought the wife over to burn through 200 -300 rounds of 9 an 45 brought my two new guns and my normal Harley carry, a H&K P30SK ,
the XDS 45 shoots every time, needs night sights, trigger second stage pulls like you are dragging it across sand paper, no biggie for now, will have it cleaned up or whatever they do to these space guns. I will see how it cleans up before I buy a second, I like the small frame, convenient, even with shitty trigger at 7 yards I put the magazine into 5 inch at a fast pace, actually fast enough to get looks through the range window. First Springfiels pistol, good enough, will make it better.
The HK in 9 is perfect for a space gun, just slightly large for the two guns to fit in my riding gun vest.
The Kimber , well , its a metal 45 mini 1911, its beautiful, it gives me half a hard on just looking at it and full hard on shooting the fucking thing. its perfect. period.

Funny thing is, I dont carry all the time, actually only on the Harley, wife keeps telling me to buy more guns though.

Powder River Precision makes a trigger kit for the XDS. The stock triggers really suck.
I'm stoked for you . Man there is something euphoric about the crisp snap of a single action on a 1911 . Sorry to hear bout the gritty XD .
My Colt Defender and Detonics Mk IV are some of my favorite carry pieces. Similar to the Kimber you just bought. I carry them more than my HK.
I did not even mention these because they are old school and I figured completely out of favor.
you cant beat someone to death with plastic pistols. Stainless and carbon steel work better
