Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock vs. M&P

Re: Glock vs. M&P

There is a another reason besides marketing on why Glock has the lions share of Law Enforcement contracts. Its simple to master and always fires no matter what the conditions much like an AK.

Re: Glock vs. M&P

This Glock guy likes the M&P, but I don't trust S&W because of the Sigma POS, and I hate the trigger on them, the full APEX kit helps a lot, but that is how they should come from the factory, I doubt very seriously that a M&P has more mechanical accuracy, I'll have to put one in a Ransom rest to make sure.

Re: Glock vs. M&P

In my experience, (recent convert to M&P Pro), the M&P is a hybrid that's half 1911 and Half Glock. The M&P is more accurate in my hands.

Re: Glock vs. M&P

Good article. YMMV, I suppose. I have a 30 and a 9. Quite different from each other, and I have likes about each...but I don't play with them too terribly much. Appreciated the info on the 9's twist and the bullet weight experiences.

Re: Glock vs. M&P

I have been a glock guy for over 11 years, recently a couple LEO friends of mine switched to the M&P, (one of them a long time 1911 fan) after several trip tot he range and shooting the hell out of those M&P, i really like them.
I try to hate those smith's but i just can't, sights are better, grip feels better, trigger is as good and so is the accuracy, the mags are better for fast reloads too.
If i didn't have tons of glock mags i would make the switch.

Re: Glock vs. M&P

First handgun was and is a Gen4 glock 21, though i held a M&P couple of weeks back and have wanted one every since. They're so damn comfortable to me. Also aesthetics are better than a glock to me. Though Glock does have it's own "boxy" appeal in a sense, it grows on you after a while.
