From my front porch last evening on a small lake in n/e Tennessee. It was nice to sit back, take a breath and forget about everything for a few moments, and just enjoy.

OP, thanks for this.

There’s plenty of bad news floating around. And while it can be good and necessary to discuss it, opportunities to show beauty and gratitude are helpful, too.
Couldn’t agree more man. Even here on the Hide, a community of our own people, there is a lot of negativity. It’s always feels good to have something to keep you grounded.

2018 Youth Mission Trip to Kenai Peninsula Alaska. Would post pictures of our youth group that we took but some parents might not appreciate it considering the times we live in. Took 7 youth on this trip. They worked and earned the money to pay their own way through fundraisers for this trip. Excellent group of youth. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to have been a part of this trip.

The Blue Ridge Mountains. For those of you with good eyes, there are actually 2 deer in the front field. So often we overlook God’s creation and creativity. We are too “busy” with life and our own pursuits. Just as the sunsets and sunrises are never the same, His mercies are new every morning! Have a great day guys and gals.

He spoke and it was.

God is awesome! His handiwork is all around, literally everywhere. One of my favorite past times is to go observe and document it, AKA, take photos of it. Unfortunately, I don’t have near as much time as I used to, to actually do it. Soon I hope. It’s been too long. We would all be better off if we could disconnect for awhile, forget the noise and enjoy more of the world he gave us.

I love beautiful views. So I took these beautiful pictures. I am happy to share it with you guys.

Tell me your favorite picture, first or second? LET'S GO!

Between, it is the second photo for me.

But my personal favorite that GOD has touched is the Blue Ridge / Smokey/ App. Mts where I grew up. Time slows down & always enjoy seeing his work with family.

Got a few relevant phone pics for this thread

Cataracht lake in Summit county, Colorado. This was earlier in the summer. The trail around the lake is ~3 miles, of which I only had to carry my son about .75 mile

This was at sunset last week in Naples, Fl. My wife and I got a day to ourselves and went kayaking (got caught in the afternoon storm, of course) and went out for a fancy shmancy dinner

One of my all time favorites. The most beautiful sunrises in my opinion are those observed from out in the ocean waiting for the next set to roll out of the gloom. There is something about paddling out into the blackness that always makes me see the sunrise for the blessing that it is. If you ever have the opportunity it is worth it.

But my personal favorite that GOD has touched is the Blue Ridge / Smokey/ App. Mts where I grew up. Time slows down & always enjoy seeing his work with family.
Beautiful. Is that Looking Glass Falls in Pisgah National Forest? Also, I know the guy that ran Linville Falls in his kayak. Nuts.
