Kicking Ass Somewhere
Well I was riding home after work on the big ass GSA, just hit some bumper to bumper traffic merging on to shitty 45, had to ride the line of the emergency lane as I passed all the cars that were vying for a spot while being uncourteous to each other... basterd cagers that they are.. well out of the blue,,, here comes this state trooper as I merge back into traffic after cutting up front and jumps in font of me in bumper to bumper traffic, lights on trying to look all badass...... I am just about to give him the fucking finger and am already yelling at the pirate,,,, then he dam near jumps the curb,,,

I back off and watch him intercept at about 18 MPH, in traffic, a truck full of "new arrival" contractors that were pulling a low boy trailer scraps of ply wood nails and sheet rock flying all over into a red robin parking lot for the ticket ....

The one good thing cops do is pull these fuckers over that dont secure their garbage and loads in teh back of their trucks,,, Ive seen washers,, yhousand pound valves, full lengths of pipe all kinds of shit here....

I promptly jumped curb into the next parking lot and rode back and gave the trooper a thumbs up, he gave a wave back.

R800 or R1200?

Who am I kidding, safe bet it's 1200.

Seatbelt nannies are more professional than local boy scouts but they have a bullshit job. Yea, they catch criminals on the road but 90% of the rest of the time they just hand out speeding tickets and extort the people travelling in their state. Poorly as well, I might add.

One of the worst things I've ever encountered coming at me besides the lady that ran the red light right before I Tboned her was a semi tire.
The truck was about 3/4 of a mile ahead of me, I seen this thing bouncing up and down and was like WTF is that.
Coming from someone who has been hit twice and seriously fucked up.

Is is a metaphor?

At least it was a state trooper and now a chubby little Deputy :)
I was coming home late at night (was working 2nd shift at the rocket factory 40 miles from home) and this car (little SUV) exited with me then kept getting closer and closer (2 lane road), I sped up, he sped up, I sped up, he sped up, and so on.
1200 Venture.
Then the low profile roof lights came on.
"Why were you trying to run?"
"Why the fuck were you trying to run me over, don't like bikes"
"I was trying to read your plate number"
Asshole.
Sure miss the big red bubblegum lights :)

They dont make the 990 anymore. Get the gsa and be done with it. Ownd 1290. The gsa is better.
Will it lift the front wheel over ditches and trees? That’s why I sold the KLR. It was so week it wouldn’t properly cross a tree at 6000’+. That’s a must for my next dual purpose.

Craziest thing I ever saw was what was left of a piano that had exploded all over a sharply curved/elevated on ramp. Sadly, a few years later a cousin I'd lost touch with went down on his Harley at same spot, apparently tried to stand up against the concrete guard rail, toppled over falling 40' to the road below, and died. 280 on to 80 bypass at Phenix City, AL. Rumor was he was hit but nothing ever came of it.

I was on my way home , rural Idaho, and my truck started overheating. I was about a mile from home on a single lane 65 mph highway, I turned off the AC and slowed to 45 mph hoping to get far enough that I didn't have to pull over on the side of the highway.

Next thing I know, a county sheriff's deputy pulls along side me , matches speed and fucking flips me off ! He sped off and I turned onto the road I live on to stop and add coolant. Flipped off by the popo , definitely didn't see that one coming.

@ArmyJerry , are we talking about a BMW 1200? Mind my ignorance, I like dirt bikes and sewing machine 4-bangers. But all those dreams and research went bye bye when the kids came around. Now I have a boat and maybe drum up an old can plinker.....lol. that harley you posted a while back was bad ass, if you've got a German animal in that stable, well, that's fucking awesome. I have a friend here in Maine that owns a BMW dual sport, and he rides it all winter....bad ass motherfuckers

Very nice sir, very nice. Ktm makes a mean machine. Nice of you, after all those SWEET purchases, to still get the wife a grom. there are a couple douches here where I live, that think they are Tokyo fucking extreme, and use our industrial park to pretend wheelie and makes lots of noise.......on a couple groms. kind of soured me on them

There is a thing,,, the Grom Cult,,, its fucking hilarious and they are dead serious,,, they will spend more on that grom than I do on a hot rodded R6... its fucking amazing,,, wife has had a Harley 1200 custom in the past then she took a break when we move d to texas, trying to get her back on her own bike again... Thinking a lowered KTM 790 next year for her...

Just took a trip to Fort Campbell, KY. While passing through Little Rock, I saw and reported one of those large 50 gallon orange construction barrels. Lying in the middle of the slow lane, causing serious sudden stops and evasive maneuvers. Dispatch said "Is that thing still there? We notified ARDOT an hour ago!"

Last summer was driving back from a fishing trip in CO on a Sunday morning. About 10 miles into TX a trooper lit me up. Was pretty surprised getting pulled over for 4mph over. He said it had nothing to do with speeding- but Sunday morning from CO to TX is the pot run apparently. He explained after church gets out he pulls people over and searches them which he did. Turned my stuff inside out. Back of the truck was loaded up with handloading supplies and outdoor gear. Im pretty clean cut. I just couldnt have looked less like the type. Been having a bit of a bout with malaria and had the shakes at the time which he told me meant I was guilty and reason to search despite finding damn near a suitase worth of medical stuff for my treatment. Fucking bastard. 80% of my interactions with TX law enforcement have been very positive but Im still fuming pissed about that one.

When he let me go I asked if I was getting a warning and he said no since there wasnt anything I had done wrong. Basically admitted right there he had no right to even pull me over to begin with.
